This is my Testimony I was born in a strict religious home. Going to church is a must for everybody in the family.
It is like an unpardonable offence for any one in the family to miss Sunday service. My church then have a religious way of bringing up a child.
You start from sunbeam and graduate to girls Auxiliary (G. A).
From G. A, I graduated to Lidia, in my Lidia period, I became their president’ I was so committed in church that , I teach in Sunday school, a member of the choir and active member of the youth association.
I was so involved in all church activities. I can cram bible chapters and verses and was always called up at conventions to recite bible quotations.
All these I was doing diligently, thinking that was salvation. In 1988, there was a revival week in the church I attended the programme all weeklong.
At the end of the programme being Sunday after church services, the two young Pastors Demian and Enyinnaya that handled the programmed called me and acknowledged my diligence and commitments to the programme. They then, asked me if I have accepted and confessed Jesus into my life.
That all the things I was doing was like a filthy rag b/4 the lord unless I confess the Lordship of Jesus. This they emphasized with scripture quotations.
It dawned on me that I was just reading the Bible without understanding. That day I was led to Christ and I saw a new me.
The excitement I felt was so much that when I went home, I took up the bible and started reading the word with understanding. My father was surprised as I devoted more time seeking the word.
They Pastors followed me up but my father warned them not to come to his house to look for me, that church activities ends in church. I joined S.
U (Scripture Union) because I wanted to know more. I also found out that they spoke in other tongues, so I went to sister Nathasha’s house and told her that I want to also speak in tongues.
She told me that it is a gift of Holy Spirit to every one that believe. she prayed with a brother and I started speaking in tongues.
One day, I was called up in my father’s church during a bible class to pray, I found myself praying in other tongues. The Pastors and the Deacons were surprised.
The next day they came to my parents and told them to monitor me and stop me from attending any other fellowship. The hostility from my parent church was so much that I left and joined sister Nathasa in S.
When I entered higher institution I could’nt get sister’s in the same faith with me. I got married while still in university.
when I came to join my husband in Lagos after school, I normally go to worship at a near bye Redeem church. I wedded in my husband church, and whenever we go to worship in his church a vacuum was always created in my heart since I didn’t flow with them.
One day in 1998 my husband came back from service one Sunday and told me that he went to Christ Embassy, that the Pastor preach like Jesus Christ. He teaches the word as if he wrote the bible.
I was surprised, he didn’t go his usual church and I’ve never heard anything like Christ Embassy before. The following Sunday again he came back from service and told me how young Pastor called Pastor Chris preached, that is a place for one to be.
That same day in the evening, Pastor Chris appeared on DBN Television preaching any my husband called me and pointed to the Pastor on the screen as Pastor Chris, he has been telling me. We listen to him preach perfectly and the next Sunday, we came to Christ Embassy at Oregun.
when alter call was called, I came out and received. That was how I came to Christ Embassy in 1998.
The following week, I was followed up by sister Chinwe Sado, who introduced me to the cell system, Swan woman of excellence P. CF.
we were just three sister’s in the cell. I grew from a cell member to Bible class teacher and then to assistant cell leader.
The cell splited and I became a cell leader of one the cell. since I joined Christ Embassy, my life have been from Glory to Glory my cell grew and when it splitted, I became a P.
Leader, from PCU Leader I became a P. C.
F. Leader, last year November 2010 I was ordained a Deaconess.
I want to use this opportunity to say thank you Pastor Chris for teaching us the word of God and giving our life a meaning. Also I want to thank my Pastor Lanre Alabi for being a shepherd, a mentor and a Prophet to me and my family.
Pastor, in 2009 at K&G, you gave a word of Prophesy that some of us that are already in a business or job, will see themselves doing different business and controlling them at the same time perfectly. Pastor, that has been my story.
I control many business perfectly. Thank you Pastor for being a part of my success story.
I am a success in life, words cannot express my gratitude to God. Dcns Appolonia Nwanafio .
