Being born again is like getting to know who your true father is after being raised by foster parents. I was born into a family of religious worshippers, attended all services, joined the youth group , enjoyed carols and hymns.
And then the opportunity came i left my parents at the age of 8years to the city to live with my Aunt, she wasn't the church going type but sends her tithe with a card that contains record of how much she has given, i learnt that but without a revelation. I started worshipping with her niece's church which was totally different, being forced to dress like everyother person as a tradition that seems worst than where I came from and being under teachings that I don't understand.
I said the prayer of salvation but wasn't sure if it was real because I became a topic for every bible class I refused to dress like every other person and with the help of the church magazine I began to study for myself and I always wanting to ask questions , after a while my questions were being avoided. I never knew they shut me up because no understanding of the word of God .
I became free when I was sent to the boarding school, after my school days , I was invited to attend a service with Christ Embassy port harcourt 1997, i did and had a great time it didnt end there I got an invitation to attend TOTAL EXPERIENCE BENIN WITH PASTOR CHRIS 1998 no obstacles I got there, the message was on I was crying, I didn't know how to stop but once I heard the call for salvation I jumped out of my seat and Pastor Chris led us with the prayer of salvation that same night I received the gift of the holy Ghost . Jesus was right there waiting for me, He found me, gave me his life to live and I found my true father.
I received a lifestyle to replace a mere religion, and it's getting better by the day Watch out for more testimonies. Pastor Jane Akpos.
