MY SALVATION STRORY
I want to say a big thank you to Rev Chris Oyakhilome for giving me this great privilege to share my Salvation Testimony.
I grew up in a Christian home, it was compulsory for everyone to attend Sunday service.
We were very religious. While in secondary school, I discover that I had passion for the service of God.
I was in children choir. I was just like any other Christian not knowing the difference between been a Christian and been Born again.
A Christian without direction.
I can clearly remember while In J.
S. 1 1st term I was in class during break hour.
This couple of Christians came to my class to Preach about Salvation, “The New Life in Christ” in one of the school fellowship. After listening to them I decided to confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour .
Immediately after accepting Christ I discover that I was so free, there was this Joy in my spirit that brought peace to my soul. But there was something in me that was missing.
I was a Christian without the Holy Spirit.
Whenever alter call was made in church for those that want to receive the holy spirit, I always find myself at the front of the alter, it went on and on but I was not filled with the Holy Spirit.
I knew something was missing in me.
In S.
S. 2, I meant a friend from another school in my area, she was a born again Christian full of Passion for the service of God.
The first day she spoke to me about the Person Of The Holy Spirit, I was overwhelmed before she finish talking I was shaking, immediately the spirit of God took over my soul. I can never forget that faithful day.
During my University days in school I always love Pastors Message, I was not in Christ Embassy but I do attend any of their programs, I do buy ministry materials. I was so passionate about the Vision and the Message of the Ministry but I never wanted to attend the church due to unreasonable factors.
My coming to Christ Embassy was God ordained. After my youth service in 2008, I came down to Lagos and was worshipping in one of the Pentecostal Church but I was not satisfy! The church was so religious.
There was hunger in my spirit, then I told the Holy Spirit that the first church I step my feet on in the next year will be my church. I was not particular about any of the churches but I just knew that there is a place for me to be.
The 1st Sunday of that year my neighbor invited me to Church I never wanted to attend he had to look for a way to convince me that Rev Chris will be Ministering life which got my attention.
I attended service that Sunday the message was wow! After then I didn’t attend church again.
Two weeks later when I was praying, I told God that I needed a place to worship, the spirit of God brought to my remembrance that I made a promise that the first church I step my feet on, THE FIRST SUNDAY OF THE YEAR WILL BE MY CHURCH. Then I remember that it was CHRIST EMBASSY! Immediately I took a U-Turn.
Ever since then till now my life has been from one level of Glory to Glory, more insight of the word of God day by day! And I have never regretted Choosing the RIGHT PATH.
