My life was normal before I got born again. I don’t mean to be critical here but I don’t think a normal life is a good life, but the word of God has brought spice into my life and my life is now “Supernatural’ and not normal no more.
Sunday mornings, my family and I go to church, come back from church; go to school, come back from school, talk carnally without the God factor.
In 2010, a friend of mine invited me to a Charismatic Renewal Program that ran for three days.
On the last day of the program I went for the altar call and I gave my life to Christ. After the program I started doing things I don’t before, like attending mid-week services and church programs.
That same that I gave my life to Christ was my final year in school and I face serious challenges especially in my academics.
In my previous years in school, I wouldn’t really pass for a first class student.
But as I gave my life to Christ, I came to realize that my life was becoming a bit organized but pretty busy and challenging, this is because I was striving to make good grades and also meet up to my responsibilities in Church. One day I paused and say to myself; what have you got yourself into? Before I got born again I was enjoying my and never this busy but now I don’t even have time to hang out.
So I prayed and asked God to help me out. God heard me and even in the midst of all these engagement in church and in my studies, I made the best result in contrast to all the results I made in my previous years in school.
After my National Youth Service Corps, a friend of mine who’s also my neighbor kept inviting to Christ Embassy but I’ll always look for one flimsy excuse to get her off my back. But one day she said to me, you need to listen to my Pastor and I decided to give it a shot.
The following Sunday I followed her to Christ Embassy Church, Elelewon Street, very close to Skippers restaurant. As I listened to the Pastor, I became glued to the church.
The kind of message and revelation I learned and heard t in the subsequent Sunday services has been awakening and transcendental. Though I’ve been before coming to Christ Embassy, but I have come to realize It’s now a whole new phase of Christianity knowing the potency of the word of God in my mouth; I have come to know my right in Christ! I was advised to join the foundation school and it’s been enriching and refreshing.
