I got born again as a 13 year old child.
It’s funny though, because even prior to that time I always loved the Lord.
We had a dad who even though he grew up in a Muslim home became born again while we (the kids) were quite young, and was radical in his faith having had a personal experience with the Lord.
This background of a bible believing non- religious father must have made a strong impression on my young mind that made me never question the presence or existence of God.
I just knew there was a very real God and it only seemed logical to submit my life to him when the message of salvation was preached to me. This message came while I was in boarding school and I got gloriously born again.
very simply; and thoroughly filled with the Holy Spirit. .
. very quietly.
Nevertheless it was the most transforming and supernatural event of my life!
Instantly this God I knew from afar became my most intimate companion, my best friend to whom I poured out my heart and thoughts. I wasn’t afraid of Him.
He was my daddy and I was His little girl. I spoke to God everywhere and anywhere and completely trusted His love for me.
I discussed my then insecurities, fears and temptations to Him. I honestly trusted in His acceptance and He was always there, correcting, building, strengthening, guiding and most importantly affirming His love and trust in me.
Today, almost 25years on, I am grateful to say 'I am indeed blessed to have a life SIMPLY glorious and pure.
Thank you Father for always being there - yesterday, today and forever.
I love and trust you more than ever Daddy- my bestest friend.
