Am Sister Anita
My both parents do not attend church at that time, but once in a while l attend church with my step sister.
After my secondary school, l got an admission to study Mass communication; from there on it was other life, though l could remember l still love God.
As at this time l don’t know what it is to be born again. l had friends that would not even think of going to church but only party ,their influence was just too much, it was always parties and we had less time to study.
There was something inside me that always tells me this is not my life’s and l always watch Pastor Chris on TV l love he so much, his look so encourage me and how he carry himself so organized, and one day l looked for Christ Embassy church close to me, and l came in contact Christ embassy Church Benin City at the back of stadium, it was Pastor Joy that preached on that day l loved her preaching so much and admire what she was wear most, after the service they welcome the first time specially and l love to always come back, but l was not always in Benin, this was around 2002. And ln 2003 went for my direct in (AAU).
My friends then got admission too, been in the same school again made my study even worse. l could remember sometimes been alone in my room meditating on what kind of life this was.
l had a bible that l always read but l don’t have any understand of what l was reading then, there was such an hungry inside me to know God more and when my friends kicks at my door l quickly hide the bible so they don’t know what l was doing. But all the while l knew l needed something more better, even though l don’t lack anything at that time, thanks be to God at this time l was already born again, and l had some brothers and sister calling me on phone following me up and praying for me, l was not always round, this time l had little knowledge of God’s word.
On one of my visit to Lagos Nigeria, l was with some of my friends at lkeja (G. R.
A) l would still remember vividly, l was so tired of everything and l prayed one simple prayer that has change my life forever, now it seems simple but then it was so powerful and meaningful to me, because l prayed it with all of my heart. l said father, though l still don’t KNOW or UNDERSTAND much about God yet, even though l was born again and still believe whenever l do something wrong l need to be born again, again, l don’t know what it was to be righteous, nevertheless l prayed, God please help me this is not the kind of life l want to live, l want to serve you and be committed to your work, Lord help me.
Since l already new Christ Embassy Church in Benin and now am in Lagos l looked for Christ Embassy Church in Lagos. And some day later a Brother introduce me to a Cell, which help my growth, this time l made up my mind not to miss any church meetings which l kept, and l meant other young people there and so committed l was fully convict that l was in the right place l watch them especially the sisters and l said if this once can be faithful to God, l can be faithful as well and they encourage my growth more.
My PCF leader sister Seun Sotinrin was just too much and such a lovely person,l was so close to her and she introduce me to Ministry materials, this was around 2003. Since then l have been enjoying my life in Christ, what a sweet life of success and victory forever.
I want to say a big thank you to my Father, Thank you so much Sir, my Father, Teacher, Mentor, Life coach, A Man sent from God to me and this world, My Father Pastor Chris, you are such a wonder, how many can l write of who you are to me and what l have learnt from you and still learning and continue to learn from you, you are the best in the whole world. You have made me know WHO IAM and my rights in Christ, You have showed me the good and the right path of life, you brought the word of God to me in its simplicity, you made me know lam the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, because of you l can boldly say am God’s number one and His best.
Hallelujahhhhhhhhhhhh. Glory to His name forever.
