I would consider myself an atheist before I came into Christ. On special occasion we would go to a local catholic church as instructed by my mother, however we never prayed or undertook any activity in the home to even signify that we were Christians.
I recall when my sister and I moved into a hostel at the age of 16 we came across a woman who would have dreams that came true. I think that is when I became awaken to the unseen world or realm beyond this world.
She was a Christian and looking back now I can see how she tried to witness to both me and my twin sister. I think we just thought she was crazy.
We turned down her offer of coming to church. When I was around 22 after graduating from university and was in what people would describe as a good job.
I remember feeling empty and started searching about life. I met my husband who was my boyfriend at the time.
He was a Christian and looking back now when he tried to talk about Jesus I would get angry at him and be mean. Anyway the relationship ended due to this and I was hurt.
I had a friend who all along I did not know she was a Christian. In search of answers to my pain she suggested we go to church.
Oh boy how glad I am that I went through what I did, I went to church and wept throughout. I was no longer weeping about my relationship breakdown, but rather wanted and yearned for God.
I gave my life to Christ that day, that was 2005. I did not know much about the bible but wanted to experience what I experienced that day I gave my life to Christ.
I began to search the scriptures and worship became my way to communicate with my father. .
. the rest is history.
. .
I am so glad for his love and ever increasing glory in my life. .
