My name is Nsitem, Chima Wisdom Esq. Before I got saved, I worshipped at different churches and denominations.
Some of these denominations doesn't believe in Jesus at all, while some have a twisted believe about Him (Jesus). I proudly labelled myself "a free worshipper".
I was born into a Christian home, grew up in active but unguided participation in the activities of the church as a child. It was nothing more than religion.
At my teenage years, I became very argumentative. I would just argue anything and everything.
I even argued the miracles, the veracity of the word of God and the existence of God (no thanks to my Philosophy Lecturer during my "A Level" days). By this time I no longer go to my family church.
One day, my brother who was schooling in Lagos, Nigeria came back home for holidays and started preaching to me about Jesus. Trust me, I argued until I almost lost my voice.
However, in his absence I'd read the "Rhapsody of Realities" in the room, I even said the Salvation Prayer at the end of the book. I said that prayer every month as I read each month's edition.
On this particular day, I read the whole devotional and said the salvation prayer again but this time with a spark of conviction about it. I read more of a topic that dealt with speaking in tongues and its benefits.
The topic also taught on how to receive the Holy Spirit. I said the prayers and that day I got a miracle.
I had gone to submit a scholarship application letter; and on getting to the office I was told that the submission had ended some hours ago. I went to a corner and mumbled some "baby" tongues.
I went back to the man, and he happily took the letter. I got that scholarship.
The next day, a sister in our estate invited me for a Super Sunday. The Service was awesome.
I responded to an alter call and- WOW, I was saved. From that moment, it's been a life of miracle and glory.
