In the 14th day of the second month in the year 2007, the Word of the Lord came to me strongly through a man of God. I was in high school at the time and had attended a memorial service of a fellow student who had passed on due to epilepsy.
The memorial service was held in a community church that was not far from our school. I was in the school choir which I had joined just to sing at the memorial service.
The service continued as I was sitting on the side of the stage on the choir seats, dressed in the school uniform and singing in between the speakers. Different speakers took the platform to talk about the life of the departed; painting a picture of his character and the things he would do.
Finally, the last speaker took the pulpit and he was a man of God of great stature. He preached a message and when he had finished he gave an opportunity for people to receive Jesus to be Lord over their lives.
I felt a strong conviction in the inside of me as though the preacher was talking to only me; his face seemed to be in the direction where I was sitting. I didn’t understand what was going on with me but I just realised that I was lifting up my hand.
Before I knew it the preacher asked all those who were lifting up their hands to stand on their feet. I stood and I was led to Christ.
Instantly my life was changed. I became a new special kind of creation that never existed before; Jesus had come live my heart.
