My name is Abel Omale Omawulu; I am a cell leader in Christ Embassy church kawo, Kaduna, Nigeria. My salvation story goes thus: I was born into a Christian home and as a family we attended an old “Pentecostal Church”.
I was thought the written word of God from my childhood but while growing up I discovered that I was not really sure of my salvation been that in that church the word of God was not thought as it ought to as the message preached in the church focused mainly on “Sin, rapture and God’s judgement”. I was not thought on “the how of salvation” what happens is that whenever a message on the rapture or God’s judgement is preached we got terrified and rushed down to the alter when the call for salvation is made.
And this I did over and over again, almost every Sunday. It got so bad that even when I was to be baptise in that old church, at the bank of the river, I ask myself- are you really sure your born again? Because in that church, baptism was such a “sacred” activity after which one would be confirm as a full member of the church (with responsibilities and suspension for any act of sin committed).
After my secondary school education I got so concern and bordered about this subject of salvation especially after listening to a massage by Pastor Chris, because at that time Pastor have started airing in the state were I reside. Somehow during this period I stumbled on a book written by Pastor Chris titled “NOW THAT YOUR BORNAGAIN”.
In that book he said among other things that “YOU COME INTO CHRIST ONCE AND FOR ALL and THAT IF YOU FALL ALL YOU NEED DO IS ASK GOD FOR MERCY,GET UP AND CONTINUE ON YOUR FAITH JOURNEY” that was it !!! At last I’ve found the answer to the questions in my heart!! It was a day of joy and revelation for me, I was so excited, and I sat outside my house that Saturday morning and read through the entire book. At the closing passages of the book there was a call for salvation and right their outside of the gates to my house I said to myself today I give my heart to Christ “once and for ALL”, I said the prayer and was glorious saved! It’s been about 10 (Ten) years since and I have had a glorious walk with the Lord.
