I got born again over 'twenty times'(i.e. number of times I stepped forward for altar call in several churches) and I still kept on living in sin. At a point, I went into despair and gave up trying to get 'born-again' because either something was wrong with me, or the bible, or the concept of salvation I was taught; and i felt since everyone commits sin, God would somehow, overlook the punishment for sin and save us all.
